Hazelnut Snail (Nussschnecke)

Nussschnecken are a staple in most German bakeries. especially the Bavarian ones. Our Hazelnut Snails are leavened only with "Antje", our well-fed sourdough starter. This gives our Snails a more complex flavor and makes it gut-friendly. The long fermentation is one of the reasons for it. Each bite offering the nutty richness of organic hazelnuts balanced with a lightly sweet dough and topped with a sugar/lemon glaze. They're a perfect addition to your morning or afternoon coffee.
